“Puhon” is a Cebuano word that means ‘Someday‘ or “In God’s time‘. We usually add it at the end of a sentence when you want something to happen in the future.
For example, “Mag kita rata puhon” or in English, ‘We will see each other someday or in God’s time’.
Another example sentence is , “Maka human lang ko ug skwela puhon.” “I am going to graduate someday.”
For me it is a powerful word because it gives hope to what is unknown.
Whenever I say this, I believe in my heart that it will happen. It is a declaration that what you are wishing for , God will truly make it happen in the future.
